Inspiration

Marc Chagall (July 7, 1887 –  March 28, 1985)

Marc Chagall was a Russian/French artist.  He created quite a career in virtually every artistic medium, including paintings, book illustrations, stained glass, stage sets, ceramics, tapestries and fine art prints.

He has always been one of my inspirations. He was truly a lover of art and of life. He used such rich color and told of such vibrant stories of his life through his paintings.

Welcome!

This blog was created to enable students to develop a means of relating the basic two-dimensional elements of line, value, shape or form, space, texture, and color to one another and as a whole.

We will work through a series of projects throughout this term that will explore the elements and principles of design in relationship to a two dimensional surface.
